Pesce to remember – Chinappi

Here is my last recommendation from our vacation. An incredible Fish Restaurant called Chinappi The concierge at our hotel recommended this place, said he ate there himself and always had a fabulous meal, so we decided to give it a try. I am glad we dressed for the occasion because this restaurant was worth the effort.

When you step inside, you are surrounded by tables with crisp white tablecloths, immaculately polished wooden floors, white walls, oak beams and chandeliers, it is simply charming. You are welcomed on entry and shown to a table with service that makes you feel like you are the only person in the restaurant. We chose our wine, were given water and bread and then studied the menu. Everything looked so good that it was difficult to make a decision. We were happy when Stefano, the owner of the restaurant, made the decisions for us, as there was so much wonderful fish to pick from.  We had decided on red snapper ourselves, which was the main dish, but took Stefano’s advice on everything else.

The meal was served as it should be, several small courses of delicious food, including of course a pasta dish.  The food and the surroundings were very fantastic. The restaurant soon filled up and everyone, even the larger parties were welcomed and given lots of help and attention.

If you are looking for a romantic table for two, or celebration for eight or more, this restaurant will serve you well. The food and service are spectacular.

Check the link which I also posted under my blog roll.  If you are visiting Rome, get a little off the tourist map and try Chinappi, if its to far to walk from your hotel, take a taxi, you definitely won’t be disappointed.

Enjoy your food!
